Ganoderma Lucidum was favored by the Emperors because of its health and longevity effects. Known in China as Lingzhi, Ganoderma Lucidum is called "The King of Herbs" because it has always been ranked #1 ... and because it was so rare that only the Emperor was allowed to have it.
After years of experiment, with 200+ species, Mr. Leow indeed found that Ganoderma Lucidum has the highest medicinal and nutritional value of any Chinese herb. He also confirmed what Chinese herbalists found and documented over several Dynasties: that 6 particular types of Ganoderma Lucidum have the greatest value by far — even higher than ginseng.
These "top 6" varieties of Ganoderma are used exclusively in Gano products. In 1985, Mr. Leow used tissue culture techniques and a 100% organic growing medium to develop and maintain a "best in class" Ganoderma single hybrid strain of the 6 species. The same year, he formed the Gano Excel company.
This unique hybrid blend essentially creates a Gano Excel "trade secret" that is near impossible to duplicate. There are copy cat products on the market, but none come close to what Gano Excel offers.
